Maybe not, but it is still popular: the additional costs for the lowered eight-tired Rainshower shower with gold leaf joints and the hand-clipped Meissen clinker bricks have to be recouped with discount windows.

Yes, I saved myself the patch panel for that, go ahead and stone me . Seriously, it was about 3 ports that I wanted to connect to a 5-port switch, and I find a patch panel a bit over the top for that, and I also ask myself what advantage I would have had besides more cost; the data rate wouldn’t have improved. I had 25m of installation cable, which was more than enough. I also needed patch cables up to the patch panel. With more ports, of course, I would have used a patch panel for clarity, etc.

Hi, but then only such plugs (which work very well...)

Why should we stone you? It’s your installation after all.

Installation cables should always end at a fixed point to minimize cable movement. With only 3 cables, I would have also skipped a patch panel and taken two LAN double sockets. It’s all about preventing cable breakage. Two double sockets usually don’t cost much more than three well field-terminatable connectors, if at all.

Okay, the idea with the boxes would have been an option too. But the cables don’t move, the switch is hanging under the ceiling on the wall, nobody can reach it. At the endpoints I do have boxes, so the cable doesn’t go directly to the consumer.

But please do not use the plugs to connect a Unifi access point. There is not enough installation space there and additionally the installation cable is too stiff. With 3 cables, this can be solved well. Not reprehensible.
