Hello everyone,

our draft is by now quite advanced, so personally we hardly see any points that need to be changed. I am even quite enthusiastic about the draft.
Surely there are some people here in the forum who still see further ideas or problems with the plan. I would be very grateful for your feedback.

Spacious dining area in the bay window
Kitchen in the middle. At first I was very opposed to that, after thorough consideration I am convinced
Large windows

What do you not like? Why?
Spiral staircase - landing staircase would be better, but according to the planner difficult to implement. Is acceptable for now.
Utility room / technical room relatively small. But I can live with that too.

Preferred heating technology: gas or air heat pump

Warum ist der Entwurf so geworden, wie er jetzt ist? For example
Corresponding/which wishes were implemented by the architect

Was ist die wichtigste/grundlegende Frage zum Grundriss in 130 Zeichen zusammengefasst?
Which details would you change? Are there fundamental points that should still be considered/changed?

Honestly, I think it's pretty good. The kitchen next to the sofa is certainly something you have to get used to, but I still like it. The rooms upstairs work too - okay, the sloping ceilings aren't for everyone, but I think they're fine. The HAR/utility room is pretty tight. That's definitely too small. Wouldn't you rather sacrifice part of the garage to expand it? That would also be very useful if you could at the same time deepen the wardrobe. That is also too narrow. Sliding some doors gives a bit more space, but overall the closet needs more depth.

The views are an absolute disaster. It has to look nicer! It’s supposed to be nice from the outside too.

As it is, it is good. The house could have been oriented differently to get more southwest and west sun into the living areas. However, storage space is lacking. The kitchen is smaller than what we have as a couple, and we have reached a point where nothing more can be added. On the other hand, the bathroom is much too large. Uncomfortable. Sink with daylight behind you, bathtub for relaxing on a silver platter. But it will work (if you always declutter).

Two small details: 1. In the dining room, I would make the two small floor-to-ceiling windows fixed elements. It's cheaper and the frame is thinner. The doors would be so narrow anyway that you wouldn't use them. 2. In such a large bathroom, I would always install a urinal.

Thank you already for the answers. Some useful tips might have been included.

Sliding the door of the utility room is already a good tip. Then the closet could become a bit longer. The washing machine would still have space behind it. I didn’t think of that myself.
Basically, I looked at a similar room and actually found it sufficient. Although surely 3 sqm more wouldn’t hurt.

What exactly do you mean by the elevations? Windows not (perfectly) aligned one below the other? Would you possibly have a suggestion?

The kitchen is about like ours now, which is already well stocked but still sufficient. I had planned to store dishes etc. on the wall in the dining area in a sideboard/cabinet. Then there should actually be more space and it should be enough now.

I believe/hope that the bathroom won’t look so huge because of its shape. The daylight behind the back might be a good point though. I have to try that out whether it could be disturbing for me. Personally, I actually find the tub okay.

1. That would definitely make more sense, thanks! I’m even already tending to completely remove them!?
2. That’s certainly worth considering too. Although that will only be decided with the detailed bathroom planning anyway. I will keep it in mind.

The problem is the lack of storage surface.
