What without words? How is that supposed to help me now?
What without words?
How is this supposed to help me now?
I’ll link a summary of a post about a former builder (named Räuber or Hotzenplotz), who approached the house construction exactly as you did.
@R.Hotzenplotz (1,610 posts, member since August 8, 2015, last seen October 10, 2018) tried here in numerous individual threads to inquire how he would best build his, if I remember correctly, 220 sqm “city villa.” His initial mistake probably was to hire a general contractor who was not really in need of warning for the implementation of his very modern design, who had an unsuitable profile (gold frame light switches gladly, but technical and/or optical modernity rather not) and additionally used a structural builder for the first time on his project. This ultimately led to an endless chain of little catastrophes, in which Räuber, as I recall, wore out four (partly recommended by the community) construction supervisors until he withdrew here out of honest pity. He considered many details back and forth to such an extent that the overview of the current release status of the detailed plans was lost, and the energy supplier’s installer placed the house connection in the wrong (correct in an older plan) basement room. The threshold of the exit to the laundry balcony grew into a hurdle, ultimately due to misunderstandings about its necessary and possible height; downspouts were clad because they were installed not in the intended wall grooves but beside them; the elaborately integrated mailbox can now not be emptied from the rear for insulation reasons; the desired model lawn tractor fit in height only through the front, but not through the rear gate of the double drive-through garage, and more. You can find his main thread here: – also read:
Well, you talk about drywall panels and the inquiry about them in your answer is marked with a question mark. One might assume that you do not know what drywall panels are attached to. The only thing that can help you is the post from or the thread from Hotzenplotz, who proceeded just like you and unfortunately fell flat on his face with his house construction because he demanded many "special solutions" from his home building company according to his own preferences. Because I do not consider your knowledge about house construction to be that well-founded. Your statements here in the forum are very scattered and present, but apparently not always properly reasoned, because much was only compared to fruit.

As an old geezer, I have seen quite a bit that my school wisdom never dreamed of – but so far never laymen pressured into building non-load-bearing walls themselves from gypsum boards. Could you enlighten me? I like to think carefully about the choice of materials for non-load-bearing interior walls and do indeed use gypsum boards, but have never considered proprietary laths when using them. Let me learn! We build the non-load-bearing walls with 10cm gypsum wall panels. [...] If I had solid knowledge about house construction, I probably wouldn’t be here...
