Regardless of the influences of a Corona pandemic, I am a supporter of local awarding and have had good experience with it myself. I consider owner-managed craft businesses to be structurally more robust in the current crisis situation than expansion-driven companies, which may currently still be in a phase of growth financing. That would require a closer look at the moment. The topic of "spontaneous changes" is a great temptation for less disciplined clients to blow their own budgets. We have experience with that as well. When estimating a budget from an architect, one should also plan a safety buffer. We would do it that way again.

When I search in Ratzeburg, I see Heitmann as well as Hiltmann, both construction companies in the region.

But when do you ever have 3 companies on the construction site at the same time? That was almost never the case for us, and we were on site for 11 months.

It was very often the case with us, but it would still have been feasible with 2+ month intervals.

I believe part of me was misunderstood - we are not building in Berkenthin! The "also" was meant to refer to your current place of residence according to your profile!

However, we are also looking for building land in the area. It's not very easy. Currently, we are looking at a building plot near Ahrensbök, but we are not sure if we will buy it.

And since we live in Bad Oldesloe, we are almost neighbors.

What I didn’t like about Viebrockhaus was that they don’t use their own craftsmen here. That was always the biggest plus for me.

If we ever buy a plot one day, the architect should definitely place the tender for the shell construction with Stoll as well. My best friend is building with them and many things run smoothly here. The only issue was that the wrong roof tiles were ordered and installed. However, a quick agreement was reached here.

Our current rental apartment is from Trave Bau. On the weather side, water regularly seeps in during heavy rain. I definitely cannot recommend them.

Quick off-topic question: how did you find the plot? The market here is very sparse and overheated.

Where are they located and how did the best friend come across them?
