Morning PyneBite, good evening to the neighborhood! Yes, we are also building in Berkenthin - that's right.
The topic of failure potential has already been commented on twice before; that may indeed be the case.
And yes, we also visited Viebrockhaus and ECO and found the costs high in relation to the construction performance. May I ask, if you preferred Viebrockhaus or ECO?
Individual awarding of contracts is still our preferred option so far, especially since you can probably have better influence and look for alternatives in the individual construction phases.
Thanks for the post - have a nice evening!
I believe part of me was misunderstood - we are not building in Berkenthin! The "also" was meant to refer to your current place of residence according to your profile!
However, we are also looking for building land in the area. It's not very easy. Currently, we are looking at a building plot near Ahrensbök, but we are not sure if we will buy it.
And since we live in Bad Oldesloe, we are almost neighbors.
What I didn’t like about Viebrockhaus was that they don’t use their own craftsmen here. That was always the biggest plus for me.
If we ever buy a plot one day, the architect should definitely place the tender for the shell construction with Stoll as well. My best friend is building with them and many things run smoothly here. The only issue was that the wrong roof tiles were ordered and installed. However, a quick agreement was reached here.
Our current rental apartment is from Trave Bau. On the weather side, water regularly seeps in during heavy rain. I definitely cannot recommend them.
Quick off-topic question: how did you find the plot? The market here is very sparse and overheated.
