Hello everyone,
We are currently building a single-family house. The house will be 6.7x12 meters. Since the house will only be 6.6 meters wide, my wish was to make the exterior walls as thin as possible. Now I have received several options from the structural engineer to choose from. I would simply like to hear your opinion and recommendation on these options.
Options:
1. 24 cm hollow brick + 10 cm VWS 035 -> Uw=0.27
2. 20 cm sand-lime brick-q + 14 cm VWS 035 -> Uw=0.22
3. 15 cm sand-lime brick-q + 10 cm VWS 035 -> Uw=0.30
4. 30 cm PPW 2/0.4 (??r=0.09) plastered -> Uw=0.28
I must also say that I need windows with a Uw of 0.85, i.e. triple glazing, RG1, warm edge.
Which wall do you think makes the most sense?
Tomorrow I also have an appointment with an architect regarding this, but I just wanted to hear several opinions.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
