Logically, the same material that was used for the rest of the wall. So at least the type of plaster, e.g. gypsum plaster. Otherwise, the surface will look completely different, which you surely don’t want, and as a layperson, you won’t be able to "make it disappear" anyway.

What do you mean by finish plaster? Something from a bucket? No. Sack, mix it up.

I still find the question interesting why it stayed wet. That’s actually not normal. How thick was the plaster layer?

That is the issue. The plaster should have been dry long ago. In the whole house, the plaster turned out very, very well (machine-applied plaster). But at the spot where the distributor is, someone else did it. - Styrofoam, mesh/fabric, and there was some kind of adhesive filler. I gave the wall 5-7 weeks and whenever I looked, it was wet. Occasionally less wet but it never really dried. I suspected or had the suspicion that the adhesive wasn’t properly dry — ergo the plaster was applied too soon. But the plaster is not to blame.... I will probably use Styrodur as the first layer, mesh, and plaster over it (self-mixed). I’m just considering whether I should use these plaster carrier boards... Best regards

The good thing (for now) is that the room hasn’t been filled/sprayed yet. That comes at the end. So I’m not worried that the surface will look different in that spot.

Plaster 2-2.5cm

Yep, definitely mixed myself
