Looks exactly like something I was looking for. If anyone knows more, please share… Can someone give a rough estimate of the price, possibly comparable as a price per running meter? I have no clue at all and don’t dare to estimate anything anymore, after being completely shocked yesterday that a louvered roof as a covering costs not 10, but rather 30,000€ o_O (a bit off-topic, but when it comes to the house, my sense seems to be completely off).

Well, how big should the gate be? What material? Which design?

Are we back to the topic of how much a car costs...

A few details would be helpful to be able to give an approximate estimate ;)

You are absolutely right! Since I still lack quite a bit of knowledge about such gates and only started reading a little today, I would cautiously list the following points.
[*]I think made of metal (possibly aluminum due to the weight) [*]4, max. 5 meters long [*]Gate itself preferably smooth and opaque, 2m high
As I said, I don't need an exact number and there will be no upper limits here, which is why I am excluding any gimmicks (doorbell, mailbox, etc.) for now. It’s about a high-quality gate that does not cause constant problems and lasts longer than 5 years :).

From the gut, I would estimate that you are looking at around 7-10k. As far as I know, such gates may only be operated with appropriate pinch protection and a flashing light. So, a bit more technology than just a drive. Don't forget earthworks for appropriate foundations and cable laying. Then you also need a door somewhere so that you don't have to open the gate for pedestrians.

Thank you, then I didn’t have such a bad feeling here at all :).

I already suspected the issue with the foundations, that’s why I started thinking about it here earlier, the cable routing is certainly a topic as well…

Most drives for private use have obstacle detection and flashing lights onboard, so nothing separate is needed. A Somfy drive, for example, for a half-ton lightweight gate should be available for around €1000. Now the locksmith (gate builder) builds the gate according to the specifications (price depending on the design) and installs it. There you have the suitable custom solution. It should be doable from €5000, installation takes a few hours with 2 people if the installation site is easily accessible and power is already available. If power is an issue - there are also 24V DC drives with battery and photovoltaic.
