Hello everyone here,

A few weeks ago I bought the Faktum US for my self-built kitchen island, everything fits perfectly. Rationell in 80", 60" and 30cm also came with a lot of additional parts. I want to make the fronts myself out of beautiful beech wood; has anyone of you ever done something like this, and are there any drilling templates and measurements for that? Many thanks for your answers in advance, Dan

Hi,

a drilling template is included in the package for the larger drawers. It should also work for the smaller ones since they are basically the same, only the railing is missing on top. For the dimensions of the fronts, you should go to the furniture store and measure the desired front there. Of course, you can also get the measurements that way, for example, the upper drawer is 60x13, but the tolerances are omitted to avoid completely confusing the customer. If it said 59.6x12.8, no one would understand what it means anymore.

Then have fun building.

The exact dimensions of the fronts are also specified on the website, but you have the freedom to choose your own measurements and, for example, build a cabinet with 4 drawers that does not exist at Ikea. A drilling template is definitely included with the 30 cm set of drawers. You can also mount a front on each of these drawers and do not have to use them with inner drawers as intended by IKEA. I have not made my own fronts yet, but in one kitchen I replaced the old drawers with Rationell drawers. After installing the drawers, I measured the drilling dimensions with a tape measure.

I thank you all for your efforts. Above all, the drillings on the front inner sides so that it fits the [Ratiionell] and looks straight will be a challenge.

Warning with the drilling template. I just checked my 80 cm cabinet with 3 drawers. The distance from the bottom edge of the front to the bottom edge of the drawer is not the same for all!

Thank you for the hint. Now I understand why; it depends on how high the front of the drawer underneath is. By the way, the rainbow flag is great
