I also simply have a carport or garden shed. Sometimes there is just something behind the house on the eaves edge. Back then I also had the idea with the mailbox, but discarded it due to costs and aesthetics. It works without it too.

Ditto. Those things never look nice, and secondly, we have a covered terrace.. there is also one of those closed boxes for small stuff, there is always enough space for all packages. More practical, easier, cheaper...

If something ever goes missing, it’s bearable. But it has never happened in recent years

and if the package gets wet... so what. The things are still in the plastic cover, nothing will happen that quickly. K.
