Hello everyone
I have a double carport with a workshop inside. The carport is not flush with the corner of the house, but recessed by 67 cm. Now I have the problem that the workshop door does not keep tight during heavy rain (Cuxhaven, North Sea).
The first two pictures illustrate the initial situation.

I would now like to build a kind of windbreak (marked in orange) in front of it without exceeding the alignment of the corner of the house.
I imagine something like rhombus cladding or something similar. Not completely sealed, but at least shields off the rain.

However, this windbreak / canopy will only be 67 cm deep.
Of course, that is not enough to get into the workshop with, for example, bicycles.
That’s why I’m looking for an idea on how to design this new front of the windbreak with two lockable passages (green arrows show the way to the workshop entrance).

The problem: both for the passage to the carport and for the passage to the workshop door, a depth of only 67 cm would not be enough to open two new doors of 90 cm or 98 cm.
So both doors would have to be double-leaf, which makes it less stable again.
Sliding doors are also difficult because the only fixed part is the 46 cm (plus two times 14 cm posts) area between the doors.
Actually, the only thing I can think of is a wind curtain. You could slide it to the left or right, or even to the middle and hide it.
But it also has to withstand the wind a bit when closed (Cuxhaven, North Sea).

Does anyone of you maybe have a brilliant idea or some visual material so I can get some inspiration?

Regards

Enrico

Wouldn't it be more effective and easier to look for a door to the workshop that is [schlagregen-dicht]?

One can come up with that idea, I agree with you. But which door would really be tight against driving rain? The one now is a triple-locking plastic door. The carport is (logically) made of wood.
