Good evening everyone,

my problem in short:
I am looking for "THE" 3D house program with which you can create photo-realistic house designs as realistically as possible. The program should also have the possibility to realistically furnish the interiors and also design the exterior landscaping. If possible, I would like to fly around and through the design with virtual cameras like on a drone.

Ultimately, I want designs that are comparable to those published by various homebuilding companies in their catalogs. Unfortunately, it is probably not allowed to name names here.

About the why (for those interested):
I would like to build or rather my wife and daughter have been urging me for a long time.
However, I unfortunately have zero visual imagination when I look at drawings. The architects I met in initial contacts with construction companies had no idea or no (financial) motivation to design a plan with me. There were basically only houses A to X from the drawer. Then, generously, you could shift a wall or a window ... "Take design no. 3, it's very fashionable and sells well ..." That was about it for what I was offered ... A real architect would cost me large five-figure amounts (if I could find one) because I would have to employ them full-time for months.

To bypass these hurdles, I would like to take on the topic myself and design something evening after evening, virtually walk through the design and "sniff it out," recognize the need for changes, then adjust until everything fits. Many, many years ago, I once had the opportunity to create designs with the program Arcon, which worked somewhat satisfactorily. Only that program did not offer the possibilities back then to subject the designs to photo-realistic processing.

What I don’t need ...:
are gloomy predictions that I wouldn't manage it anyway. I don't want to win an architecture prize either, and my lack of experience, feasibility, as well as statics, etc., is another issue ... And I don't need a CAD or statics module, etc.

Let's say others build model railways as a hobby, and my wife and I would like to design our tailor-made dream house.

Many thanks in advance for all sincere suggestions!

Best regards
MiHoe

This imagination cannot be conveyed or trained by a 3D program either. What such programs can do is link the various digital individual drawings into a spatial structure and rotate it in different perspectives. What they cannot do, however, is instill in someone a sense of proportions or the content of the abstract term square meters. And for example, simulations of surface structures (or roof pitches, etc.) always turn out to be imperfect. In summary: they cannot prevent you from cobbling together an awkward house design. In the worst case, the biggest rubbish looks almost professionally great with their help. Unfortunately, they do not have a head clearance warning if your stairs don’t work, nor do they avoid too narrow hallways and the like.

In this thread: you can excellently see how little software can polish planning skills – it is perfectly possible to plan impressive labyrinths with it

For a start, Architouch 3D might be something, although I only know it as an app for the iPad and I don’t know if it is available for other tablets or PCs. Not truly photorealistic but the possibility to "visit" the entire house including furnishings in realistic dimensions in 3D. It helped me a lot with visualization and you can try it out for free (and there is even a warning if the head height at the stairs is not sufficient ). If you upload the design here afterwards and let the harshest critics take a look to see where problems still lurk, at least you can do good preparatory planning. Have fun with it.

Good morning,

I use the homepage Home.by.me. In my opinion, it is the best option to at least visualize individual floors and furnish them with furniture. You can then also walk through the house in the first-person view.

Huh? Didn't this thread already exist 2-3 days ago? I had responded in detail, then the thread was deleted. Why and by whom (user or mod) was not said. I am confused ...

The egg-laying wool-milk-sow does not exist. Already wrote that a few days ago. Was your account deleted because of advertising, that you are showing up here again with a second one?
