Just as some dog owners are dragged on a leash by their dog, of course you can also give the house what the garage leaves over. But I already ranted about that today:
I read that ;-)
Don't worry, we don't want a space between the garage and the house. We're more interested in a shaft that is supposed to be in the garage and go vertically into the basement of the house. Here we want to transport our firewood in grid boxes directly into the basement using a crane/lift mast. (Sawing/splitting, then into the grid box. Stack these for drying and when needed, simply lift a full dry grid box into the basement for resupply.)
Because of this, we are still undecided whether, for example, the main entrance should be placed on the east or north side. Because a front door with the width of a normal interior door is out of the question for us.
I would first consider whether you also want to turn around on the garage forecourt (then possibly plan some paving in front of the house for maneuvering), or if you want to struggle backward down the long driveway.
We have already drawn the house with a 4.50 m distance to the northern boundary in order to do exactly that :-)
