Living/Dining Area and Kitchen - Sensible Layout

I had this one and something similar and had it standing alone against a wall in the dining room. I consciously chose not to have a water connection because I consider it to be of little use. However, there are ones from Bosch/Siemens with an ice function or similar, but in my opinion a water connection is just a gimmick. My focus is on spaciousness and clarity and a stylish appearance, so freestanding (my personal taste). Therefore, 90cm appliances are not an option for me because that would be an unnecessary compromise for me.
