Lighting in hallway and kitchen: Are recessed ceiling spotlights needed?

You have to make decisions with your wife yourself.

I don't find the 150 € particularly expensive.
If I roughly calculate the approximate prices for the concrete box + hole at the filigree ceiling manufacturer + GU 10 spotlight + wiring, depending on which concrete box and spotlight are installed, I easily come to 150 €. An LED panel costs me 75 €.

For consideration in the kitchen, I would also make sure not to cast a shadow on myself while working. So a nice bright work light from slightly in front and a large light source in the middle of the kitchen for the rest of the light.

So here... just that I have the rounds of these in use... they are only about 22mm thick

can the LED panels also be installed in ceiling outlets?
What diameter do your round LED panels have?
Do similar rules apply for planning as for the spots, i.e. about 1/3 of the clear height as distance to the wall and distances between the panels at most 1/2 of the clear height?
How expensive are these panels?

I have 20cm panels... three of them provide more than enough light in a 12sqm stairwell.

It is sufficient to cut an appropriately sized opening in the ceiling and then simply attach the panel like usual spotlights using clamps.

The planning rules vary greatly because each manufacturer installs different LEDs (number/color/light intensity), so you have to check the technical data to see how they should be positioned, or you try it out.

The current price for mine is 55.50 euros each.
