Hello everyone

So yesterday I set up the new Pax cabinet. For this, I wanted to install the "Komplement" light strip inside. Said and done – the strip can be turned on and off. However, there is a small problem. I actually wanted the light to turn on when you open the sliding door and turn off when you close the door again. The light strip also has a small switch for this that can be set to on (on/off works both ways) or to (Auto). But the auto function doesn’t seem to work for me. Did I forget something important or is the sensor of the light strip broken? How does the sensor work anyway (touch, light, movement, etc.)? Unfortunately, the manual didn’t help me either, but maybe someone in this forum knows about it.

Thanks for all answers and best regards Hoschi

Quite simple, the light strip only works with light from outside. That means it needs light to function. Open the blinds and the light will work. It is meant to provide support, not to completely illuminate your closet in the dark.

Thank you very much for the quick response. If the sensor of the light strip reacts to light, mine is definitely broken. I have opened and closed this cabinet door at least 40 times under various conditions. Many times there was also enough light in the room so that the strip should have actually turned on. I guess I have no choice but to have the thing replaced.

So I replaced the light strip 3 times within one week and it still doesn't work while the one in the cabinet next to it works perfectly, regardless of the outside light. I think it has something to do with the metal bracket because if I don't snap it in on one side, it worked for all???? No idea, neither the store nor the phone service could help me. Maybe someone knows something???? Thank you in advance. ops:

Hello Polo,

I had exactly the same problem. The solution is that the light strip must not be mounted directly on the ceiling of the cabinet; this procedure only applies to the cabinet variant with normal hinged doors that open. For the variant with sliding doors, this is not possible because the upper guide rail prevents the sensor from working properly, i.e., you have to install the supplied spacers first so that the LED strip hangs about 4-5 cm lower. The sensor only works with absolutely horizontal light incidence.

One more little tip: If you, like me, have installed these slide door stoppers, make sure to install the LED strip deep enough inside the cabinet because it hangs at exactly the same height due to the spacers, otherwise you will have to start all over again.

I hope this helps you as an approach to the solution.

P.S.: Take another close look at the installation instructions for the LED strip, because there the two different mounting methods for hinged doors (without spacers) and sliding doors (with spacers) are explained (at least in my installation instructions).

Greetings from the East
