LED aluminum profile for entrance area

Hello,

I have a larger rain-protected area in front of the front door that I would like to illuminate with a comprehensive LED strip. The electrical wiring is available for this, but before the area is plastered, I need a corresponding flush-mounted aluminum profile. My electrician has never dealt with this before, so I'm currently a bit on my own.
The area to be illuminated is a front door recessed into the house with the dimensions HxWxD 260x230x70cm.
Now, there are various aluminum profiles in different widths, 11mm, 20mm, 27mm, etc. in different widths.

Which LED strip is generally used for this and what should I pay attention to regarding the profile?

Is my question too stupid? Or are there solutions that I’m not aware of?

But after a bit of research, I found a much more important problem:
There are quite a few manufacturers that offer aluminum profiles for flush mounting. However, the connection to the plaster worries me. Aluminum expands and contracts due to heat exposure. With a 2-meter profile, a bit adds up. If there is movement, small cracks will also form in the plaster. How do you avoid that?

The thing is, the area is about a meter away from where normal rain usually hits. But the profile is in a groove within my insulation layer (in my case wood fiberboard). If moisture gets in there, in the worst case through driving rain, I have a long-term problem.

My plasterer couldn’t really help me, and neither could the dealers I called.
How is this usually handled in practice to ensure that the connection plaster/insulation/LED profile is permanently sealed?
