Lawn mowing robot or lawn mower? Experiences?

Wrote modern robots. Not "cheap goods". Mine only run during the day anyway. Simply significantly oversize the mowers and then the runtime is low.

That's exactly right. Mine mows for 4 hours during the day. Surely there's no hedgehog there! And I believe that if there were, nothing would happen to the Gardena.

My parents had a Husqvarna lawn mower robot for years and a family of hedgehogs in accident-free coexistence in the garden. The robo did a good job, the lawn looked great, but not better than before, as it was maintained with the reel mower. So both are possible in high quality.

How often do you actually have to mow with such a reel mower? For mulching, you have to mow very regularly, right? How do you keep it sharp?

A reel mower is worth it in my opinion only if you want a relatively short lawn. And that often implies frequent mowing, every 2-3 days during the main growing season.

Regarding sharpening, search for "backlapping"
