Never heard of lawn mower tuning? The 140db are reached, whether petrol or battery lawn mowers. You have to outdo the neighbors.

However, I don't know that yet... I hope that it still runs after one year at least long enough until the robots get better and especially (hopefully) cheaper.
I can hardly imagine faster even though heavier?
Price-wise, the better ones should probably all be in the same price range.

I believe we misunderstood each other there. I suspect the many "young used" cordless lawn mowers on Ebay are due to general dissatisfaction with the performance.

My former cordless lawn mower performed poorly, especially when the grass wasn't properly dry. That means I sometimes had to go over it multiple times or it couldn't handle the amount of grass, then go back and try again. This negatively affects the overall time.
In addition, there was the recharging of the batteries. I foolishly bought a cordless lawn mower with 2 18V batteries. That means nearly 6 hours of charging time with one charger.
This could certainly have been prevented in 95% of cases with a second battery set, but then the lawn mower becomes a really expensive affair. For the price of another battery set, I can easily refuel my petrol mower for 10 years. When after maybe 7-10 years you need new batteries, then 300-400€ are quickly gone again.

Apparently, we really talked past each other a bit. I think you really shouldn't see the battery just as a power source for the lawn mower, but especially so when you also want to operate other devices with it. Then the costs also become somewhat more reasonable again. I also thought about it for a long time because there are many really bad reviews, especially for older devices. Apparently, quite a bit has changed here and will certainly continue to do so in the future – also regarding the battery prices [Akkupreise anbelangen]. Whether they will then work together with the previous system again, of course, is another matter...

I agree. If the batteries are already there anyway, it's certainly worth considering. That was my feeling as well. I still decided on a petrol mower because I like to mulch once a week, and hardly any battery mower can manage that. Whether I will actually do it is another matter, but at least I know that I could. For that, I now have a battery-powered grass trimmer.

I have looked at the Hecht devices. The prices are really reasonable for the size and included parts. How is the low price possible? Direct sales or junk or what?! Spare parts? Has anyone had experience with Hecht mowers?
