Pretty sure not, I’m building in BW. The man even has a master craftsman certificate

But thanks for the info. Then I’ll have the expert come by again. Unfortunately, as an amateur, I’m not taken completely seriously and only get to hear regularly “don’t worry,” “I’ve been building for 20 years,” “I know what I’m doing” ....

Craftsmen like to call always doing things the wrong way "experience." But in the administrative field, it's no different; the "Peter Principle" is gladly "understood" as a personnel development concept :-)

Regardless of the fact that this sounds very adventurous and I am a layman in construction... where is the difference to a concrete belt? Isn't that the same principle? Concrete formwork and insulation on top?

Or even the insulation directly in the formwork, yes. I am also not a structural engineer (and unfortunately Grandpa Willy is no longer available). I mainly see the difference here in the height: here it is only about two and a half thumbs' width of "colder material" under the ceiling, on which condensation moisture accumulates. A professional - for whom I do not consider the general contractor here - might assess this differently.

Hello everyone,

for those who might come across the topic again.

Our expert has looked at the whole mess and discovered some defects. However, the issue with the concreted 5cm ceiling height is probably not a problem, since the concrete is directly connected to the ceiling and will be insulated from the outside.

A completely different question: it's about a [DEER] right? And then unfilled bricks? Is that even allowed or does the rule about filled bricks only apply to multi-family houses?
