No, the one tree stands on my property, the boundary is right next to it. I probably drew the line a bit unevenly. Sorry, I drew it quickly like that.

And why should it have to give way? Trees are a valuable asset. Mindlessly chopping them down is a sin. Once felled, it takes several decades until something comparable grows there again. With the increasingly long-lasting heat, you’re happy to find a shady spot underneath. We are currently trying with extreme effort to spruce up our new plantings. Every leaf is celebrated. So you might imagine how it breaks one’s heart when someone starts the saw somewhere. Build around it then. Houses with trees are totally in. Ask .

He doesn't even want to build yet.

The oak is not comparable to the little trees here. They probably do not even fall under the Bremen tree protection ordinance. The Bremen tree protection guide explains in a citizen-friendly way what is allowed.

The tree is not supposed to be removed, it stands on my property. It's more about this huge "bush" that partly stands on my property and partly on the other one's. I'll go and take a picture right away, I don't even know which plant it is..

So, we took a closer look at the whole "bushes".. quite dense and overgrown.. But our conclusion is, it was planted on our property. That should mean I could/may remove it, right?

Probably. What should go there that makes it so important?
