I had concluded from your "highest bidder" that you meant someone who shared the rental idea. Hit, sunk

Hello everyone,

The plot of land adjacent to our property with a house has been sold. It is supposed to be demolished and rebuilt soon.

Now it is so that our plot was originally part of the whole. On one side, there is a "boundary stone," or rather a cross marking on the retaining wall running parallel to the street, which has been marked with pink spray.

In the middle of the plot, there is a huge "bush," with a large part on my property and a part on the new owner's (unfortunately unknown).

We have now considered that it makes sense to visually separate the plot as well, like with a wire fence or something similar. What is the situation with the plants that stand on both properties? Am I allowed to simply remove those on the part that stands on my property? In the case of a house construction, that part would also have to be removed on our side.

How do I best handle this?!

Take a photo. That is not understandable. That way the bush would cover the entire property...
Does anyone still live in the house? Has it just been sold and if so, when?

The property boundary runs directly through the vegetation.

I have marked it on Maps. The house is on the right, our property on the left side.

At the moment, you are not allowed to do anything regarding the plants anyway because of species protection. Since there is no neighbor law in Bremen, you should find out who the owner is and come to an agreement with them about the fencing. Then you can also talk about the plants at the same time. I would have suspected the border further east, so that the tree by the street stands on the neighbor's property and is therefore off-limits without the neighbor's consent.
