Good evening!
I am facing the difficult choice of flooring. Visually, two models are being considered, one laminate and one vinyl.
The laminate advertises "5 years warranty for commercial use" and has the usage class "23/32" as well as the abrasion class AC4.
The vinyl from the same manufacturer also has a 5-year warranty for commercial use but the usage class is 23/33. No abrasion class is given here.
According to the boastful text description, both variants are suitable for commercial use and "robust." However, the vinyl is more than twice as expensive.
According to a saleswoman who did not seem very knowledgeable, the laminate is "definitely not" suitable for the office.
I have a home office where I sit about 8 hours every day on my office chair. Can laminate withstand this, or is vinyl absolutely necessary? On the internet, I read that for both vinyl and laminate, a rubber mat should be placed underneath. This is definitely not an option for me.
Thank you very much!
