Kitchen purchase - How do you negotiate the price?

At Ikea we then found a (already quite perfect kitchen) for €11,300 and were happy. By the way, we also had it assembled and I would always do it that way again!

In the end, we ended up with a carpentry business that builds our kitchen to measure. And surprisingly, it is even cheaper than any kitchen studio we had inquired with.

I once planned our kitchen with IKEA and ended up with almost the same amount (including delivery and installation) - using IKEA appliances. However, without the glass niche cladding. That would have been extra.

In my Schüller kitchen, I now have 6-raster drawers (one drawer per cabinet more than IKEA) and also larger pull-outs. In my 1m pull-out in the island, I can fit, believe it or not, a crate of beer, a crate of water (the one with glass bottles), a crate of juice (also glass), and various small bottles as well! The kitchen consultant told me that the pull-outs can carry up to 80(!) kg! Now that's enthusiasm!!!!

I am an IKEA fan too, and today I'm going there again, but I wouldn't want an IKEA kitchen again.

That's why I would compare. Always the same kitchen and the same kitchen layout. Possibly also compare the manufacturers with each other. You'd be surprised how different the prices are.

That allowed everyone to discount everything for the rest of the year. And it escalated from there. Then it was no longer called a clearance sale but the "sale" came over from France. As long as the prices are paid, both sides seem to be happy. I have heard things (from the ranks of the dealers) that made my toenails curl.

By the way, we bought our kitchen yesterday. The list price was almost 40,000. The first offer was 17,800 because there are currently great discounts. Then I talked to the boss and we settled on 13,600 and he was already taking a big risk. The end of the story was 10,000€ and a 600€ merchandise voucher. Including assembly etc. And they still won’t become poor from that anytime soon.
