We did it the same way there, bought the kitchen without appliances. However, all provided appliances are installed during the kitchen assembly. So we are at €7,000 for an approximately 10-meter-long kitchen unit including appliances from Neff.

Ohh kitchen shopping! My absolute favorite topic!

I felt similarly to DerDa. For me, kitchen salespeople are now the absolute worst professional group.
By far the most unprofessional trade in the entire new construction. The way ridiculous discounts are thrown around there is just laughable. You go into a kitchen studio and say the limit is a total of 10K. Then they put together a kitchen in the floor plan and say it costs 22K. Before I could even explode, they quickly said, "But I can give you a discount of 5K." "Also, we currently have a promotion for [new build customers], that’s another 3K off" ([new build customer discount]! How absurd is that?!? Who comes up with such nonsense???) And if I sign today, he would even lower the kitchen by another 2K. And it became clear to me, if I had initially said the limit was 8K, then in the end the same kitchen would probably have cost 10K instead of 12K. And the same scheme everywhere. Some wild discounts because of clearance sales, inventory liquidation, fairs, wars, full moons, or shifts of the Earth's magnetic field...
Sorry, but I just find that unprofessional and it makes me feel like I’m being screwed over.
We also bought ours at the Swede. Good advice! And the quality is good too.

Yes, we have had similar experiences.

The "big" providers here in the area that we visited all work according to the idiotic discount system.

But even significantly more reputable companies (with many branches throughout Germany) come along with this silly discount gimmick.

For us, it therefore became a smaller kitchen builder (family business). They offer custom kitchens, have their own carpentry workshop, significantly better furniture quality, and surprisingly even a much fairer price than the comedians' association after discount deduction.

Regards,

Dirk

Hello,

Why?

That is exactly what the buyer customer wants here in this country ...

It wasn't like that with us! We stated our limit. The seller then mentioned that you have to budget 50% for appliances and about 700 per running meter (with our front choice). Then I came with my kitchen plan, which he slightly changed. He also said regarding the appliance selection that we definitely shouldn't look at the price. He then suggested the internal cabinets, knowing full well that he would stay within the limit. In the end, he had the program calculate it and a nice sum came out. The seller was very nice and has by now planned and sold almost all kitchens in our new development area.

Hello,

Then you now have a slight idea of what I almost had to listen to every day. Had to listen to, because as of today I no longer allow it. If the interested party is incorrigible, I send them directly to Heinz von Heiden - here you get help Which well-known song of a Westphalian echoes in my head, I’ll keep to myself for now

Rhineland greetings
