Hello dear people,

I would appreciate critical feedback on my kitchen planning.
Attached are rendered images and the floor plan of the living/dining area.

The goal was a modern kitchen without high-end aspirations for a two-person household.
The color is light gray and the countertop is granite in cloudy anthracite (matte).
I definitely want to keep my SBS refrigerator, even though the next one will probably be a French door.
The dishwasher is located at the bottom left under the oven (with steam cooker).

The island is 2.00 x 1.00 m wide. The distance between the kitchen unit and the island is about 1 m.
In the planning sketch, we initially assumed a wider island, but we rearranged it on site because it would probably have been too bulky.

Are the rendered images from the kitchen studio? How deep is your SBS fridge (in the picture it looks like it is about 60cm deep - like the kitchen furniture)?

Otherwise it looks okay but I am not a kitchen expert. For me, there would be too little counter space on the kitchen unit. Is that a built-in fully automatic coffee machine (next to the fridge)?

Hi
Our planned kitchen looks quite similar, but the island is connected to the wall on our side (space reasons).
I like the style, but here is what I would still change:
The wall cabinets have a different depth than the tall cabinets, which is logical because otherwise you would hit your head on the sink – but I didn’t like that. We solved it this way:

In the end, it is just the tall cabinets that are staggered, one row set back further than the other. It feels "calmer" to me. I really like the shelf to have a little space for pretty things.

Yep.

No, it's poorly integrated. It's standard. 71cm deep.

Specifically, I am asking myself the following questions:

- Is the kitchen harmonious in relation to the entire room?
- Is the layout of the drawers sensible?
- Are narrow drawers missing, as are modern nowadays (olive oil, etc.)?

On the back side of the island, I had thought about (milk) glass doors, but that would destroy the continuous half-height line that loosens up the block.

P.S. It is a ProNorm Y-Line.

Just to ask stupidly - why is Insel oriented the way it is? It almost seems as if it is meant to keep an eye on the TV...?
