Hello everyone,

this will be my first post and I hope to get some suggestions from you and not make too many mistakes while creating it. :)

We are currently planning our kitchen and are now facing the problem of how to arrange the kitchen and how to use the space optimally.

Floor plan

Our current idea is to remove the door on the right that leads to the hallway and to have access only through the sliding door via the dining room.

My questions now.

1. What speaks against removing the door?
2. Should the sliding door possibly be moved?
3. Suggestions on how to position the kitchen optimally.

Looking forward to your comments.....;)

I would never design a kitchen with three corners, that is just a waste of space. For example, you could plan an L-shape with you (only the upper and the left kitchen units and then enlarge the sliding door to the living room, in my opinion, such a small access to the living area doesn't look nice. With such a design, you would only have one dead corner at the top left.

Best regards
Sabine

Yes, larger access sounds good....
The planning in the drawing has simply been sketched by the architect. It is not what we have in mind. :)

I find the L okay. In the SW corner: small table, three chairs. Done is the dining area for a quick breakfast every day, the coffee in between, the cozy evening beer in dirty pants...

Additional: Do you have Microsoft IE on the PC? Then open with the Ikea kitchen planner, it runs smoothly with it. Totally good program to virtually furnish the kitchen. And price plus item list are also available at the end. Completely transparent.
