I have the opposite opinion... besides, there are still enough houses that need insulation, or where the insulation needs to be renewed due to defects, etc.... and here in Germany, the HRB will never really be able to establish itself against solid construction... at least that is the tenor you can read everywhere, and on construction sites, at least in this area, you only see solid houses...

What does the insulation of the existing building have to do with the new construction? Of course, there is a need for catching up, but that has nothing to do with the current discussion...? Errors etc. neither...

And of course, you mostly see solid houses - please read correctly: This is an assumption on my part that this will be the next trend, which will eventually be mandated by the government: ecological construction, i.e. the use of particularly ecological resources. Because there will be no status quo, something always has to change/improve - but with insulation, there is practically no room left.

I meant that the insulation will not stop but will continue, both in existing buildings and new construction...

As far as I know, the goal is eventually to have zero-energy houses - whether autonomous or not, I don't know. I strongly assume that this can only be achieved through a combination of insulation and energy generation.

It's your opinion, but in new construction I don't see any economic or ecological potential – as asked: Have you really ever dealt with the insulation curve and calculated U-values?

Lex, certainly not with 40 cm insulation, but whether 14 or 18 still makes a difference for mineral wool...
