In the past, you could still feel the underfloor heating, now the floor no longer feels warm. So there is no health disadvantage, as the floor is colder than the feet even with underfloor heating.

Best regards

To be honest, I am surprised that no one here addresses the response time any further. We have now been living in the house for about 3 months (brine geothermal heat pump + underfloor heating) and we are positively surprised at how quickly the underfloor heating heats up the rooms. I have always read a lot about the long response times and – although it is actually not a big disadvantage – I have therefore paid a little attention to keeping the response time as low as possible. That means: floor coverings tiles + glued vinyl. Insulation on the base slab so that the underfloor heating doesn’t get the idea to warm up the entire base slab. Small installation spacing, high-quality underfloor heating system (all done by ourselves). Geothermal heat pump (surface collectors) runs at 28° flow temperature.

The result is that during the day we heat the living rooms to 21°, from 21:00 to 05:30 the heating is off. From 5:30 the heating runs again and the living rooms are back at about 21° around 7 a.m. At 5:30 (the heating had been off for 8.5 hours), the temperature has dropped to about 20° with nighttime outside temperatures currently around 6°.

What I want to say is: I definitely don’t find our underfloor heating sluggish. It also heats from 18° to 21° within a few hours. But for 18°, the heating must have been off for 3-4 days in the affected room.

Have I already mentioned that it is not advantageous to not answer questions. I personally may also find that rude. Be that as it may...

I have now read the entire thread and it makes me angry. What a missionary attitude! I wouldn’t respond anymore either. If the radiators want, the radiators want. If that is the case, we have no right to criticize. I myself didn’t want them anymore, but to each their own. Different strokes for different folks. Yes, you can probably get gas heating and radiators down to 55, 70 would be easier. Yes, those things take up space, but the original poster surely knows that and doesn’t care. Yes, you can heat with them. And whoever pays, calls the tune. Long live the Danfoss thermostat. Karsten

... is basically another way of saying: we too had slight prejudices

Where do you read that?

If it seems as if someone has unfounded fears, I think it’s not bad to take them away. Good, if afterwards he feels robbed, then maybe one wasn’t gentle enough - but no one here meant it badly, right?

, Karsten, when you ask questions as the OP, get answers, it is rude not to respond to the follow-up questions. Period. Then the answers naturally get a bit scratchier because you realize that as an answerer you are a cash cow and not an equal. I can also gladly become rude by asking a follow-up question. It's quite simple... OP stands right at the beginning here. It's time to remind the new generation about politeness, values, and norms. Mobile greetings from on the go
