I only know one good reason against underfloor heating: certain musical instruments. They cannot tolerate even mild warmth from the feet. Nevertheless: I agree with Karsten. The enormous disparagement of the OP's radiators does not help. Those who do not want to, already have...

Some people are also a bit shy and are reluctant to give true reasons. It could be that you have to calculate very precisely, and the underfloor heating is subject to an extra charge in the BU, but you want or have to somehow take advantage of the KFW funds... if that's the case, I say be careful, dear OP, don’t calculate the new building too cheaply, there is always something. Otherwise, an observation from now four weeks in a normal house with only the Energy Saving Ordinance, a gas boiler and underfloor heating. The house is unusually warm for us. Almost too warm, we were used to something else. We often have windows and the terrace door open. The heating runs on automatic. 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. twenty degrees, at night fifteen. Slightly cooler wouldn’t bother me. Karsten

And you still find it too warm?

Man, there must be hot people living in the North...

anyone who has to count every penny should a) generally think about house construction and b) specifically about KfW.

Karsten, this is the mentioned comfort. Because everything is evenly warm and there are no cold surfaces in the house, it feels warmer.
By the way, you won’t reach 15 at night. Rather 19, maybe 18 if unlucky.
If you both feel too warm, adjust the heating curve of your radiator properly.
If the OP wants to save: no false shame. I am happy to give a tip via PM on how to get through it cheaply with a bit of personal effort.

Those who have to be stingy with their calculations are allowed and can admit it here. And should even do so. There are always tips here for alternatives.

Mobile greetings from on the go
