Hello everyone,

we have two doors from the outside into the garage and would like to open them keylessly so that we don't always have to carry the key when in the garden,... The garage has no access to the house, so security is important, but not the main issue. Does anyone have an idea how we can realize this as cost-effectively as possible? Are there any cheap keypad systems or fingerprints?

Retrofit a code lock on one door and leave the key inserted on the inside of the other. I can't think of a cheaper solution right now... apart from the good old key hiding spot ;-)

I plan to do the same and have looked at the Visortech code lock for around 70 euros. What do you think about it? Or just Nuki...

The house is a new build, so we can really let loose there. I just don’t want to spend 5000€ on access electronics for these 2 doors. Otherwise, the world is open to us... ;)

Nuki works via Bluetooth, right? I don’t want that either since I don’t always have my phone with me when I just want to go into the garage for a moment. I’ve seen the Visortech too, but it looks kind of flimsy...

Search for Gelikom at a major provider with Prime service. Great item, I've been using it for years, costs you around €70 plus about €100 for the electric opener, different strike plate, and door knob on the outside of the door.

How is it with the security of an electric striker? If someone breaks in, the insurance doesn't pay, right?
