Is worry justified or not?

Did I write that? I think not.

On the one hand, my question was about clarifying what is reasonable and what might still await me. Growing piles, for example. And how best to deal with them without escalating anything.

On the other hand, we now have the additional problem of the nail boards on the property, which of course are not secured/fenced off and from which a certain danger emanates. Walkers, including children, pass through daily. From 20 meters away, as a mother, you probably do not immediately suspect a danger when your child walks onto a piece of field where boards lie. And from a distance, you also can’t see that hundreds of sharp nails stick out.

Okidoki. Thanks for the assessment.
I really wasn’t trying to mark my territory or complain when trucks drive over the undeveloped plot or plants get crushed.
Maybe I didn’t express that properly. I’m just worried that stuff will accumulate there over months, which will be costly for us to haul away because maybe no one will want to take responsibility.

And then there was the issue with the “nail boards.” The plot is in the field and is not yet recognizable as a construction site. Right next to it is a path that many walkers use. That makes me a bit nervous.
Of course, those people don’t wear safety shoes there.

I also have children, yet I advise that you need to relax significantly during the house construction period, otherwise it will be very stressful for you... This is a truly well-meant piece of advice, without any irony or anything like that.

Thank you. I also realize that I need to handle it more calmly. It’s just very difficult for me because by nature I always think about the worst-case scenarios.

You build for hundreds of thousands. Sometimes disposing of 200€ worth of trash that someone "forgot" to take with them is part of the job. Please don’t make a big deal out of such trifles. This is simply not a project with a fixed-price guarantee. There is always something, and a bit of loss anyway.

You are free to put up a construction fence or something similar as soon as it’s yours.

I see it differently. Especially BEFORE you buy. I would simply include a clause in the purchase contract stating that the property will be handed over cleared. Then it’s the municipality’s responsibility. At the same time, talk to the new neighbor and clearly agree on what is okay and what is not. If in doubt, if they’re a jerk, then mark the territory and fence it off anyway. In any case, I would not want to buy someone else’s garbage and then dispose of it. Otherwise, I have a few things lying around that could go. Then I’d ask for the address to dump my junk.
