Is it sensible to prepare the plot before starting earthworks?

Dear forum,

is it sensible to take care of the development of the property before starting the earthworks? Specifically, it concerns a plot of about 1500 sqm. Earthworks are to begin in July and shell construction in September.

We would like to use the time until summer to have electricity, water, and sewage connected to our property. Is this productive or should this only be started in conjunction with the earthworks?

Are there certain sequences to be observed in the coordination?

Usually done together with the earthworks, otherwise the excavator has to come twice...

Coordination? You just have to get electricity/water/sewage/Magenta to the site promptly and almost simultaneously.

In any case, do not start before the building permit/approval.

This is about the question of whether the OP should/can have the utility lines brought to/on the property.

If the position of the house and the future connection room are fixed,
what should speak against having this done before the building permit and earthworks. The utility providers are responsible for this and receive the corresponding development fees from the builder.

We initially thought the same and then let it be.

Now the suppliers have laid the connections and the upper part of the pipes still sticks out a bit from the ground, so you can basically see a kind of cover. Sorry, no idea what it’s called…

During the earthworks, the excavator driver would constantly have to somehow avoid those things, and in my opinion that would be very complicated.
