Hello everyone,
we have a problem in our new building that ice forms on the ventilation tiles of the sanitary installation at freezing temperatures.
When this then thaws, large ice chunks (approx. 8 cm x 7 cm x 2 cm) slide down the roof and pile up on our parking space with the car. This also happens in the entrance area. Now we are concerned that this could lead to personal injury or property damage.
According to our home builder, this is not a defect and we should have snow guards installed by the local roofer.
What do you think? Is this allowed to happen or is there a standard regulating the execution?
We were never informed about this circumstance.
Thanks in advance for your help!
