Short-term (about 15 minutes), repeated (4-5 times daily) airing by fully opening the windows is much more effective anyway. Between airing, the air should be heated in some way.
The logic behind this: Warm air can absorb more moisture than cold air. By constantly tilting the windows, you therefore lose far too much heat, and airing by fully opening the windows is significantly more effective.
But constantly tilting the windows can of course also be a solution if you cannot/will not take the time for regular airing by fully opening the windows.
