Is an extra charge for colored windows realistic?

The one-sided foiling of plastic windows costs about 10% extra, since your windows will by far not cost 24,000€, so he probably added a little extra there. With Tony Montana, that might be more accurate. Were the 2,400€ only an estimate from the planner or an offer from the window manufacturer?

It should not be a foil, but an acrylic solution (more precisely a co-extrusion process). Yes, the surcharge corresponds to what my window installer would have charged (taking into account the window size and number of windows) - and even then it would have been fine.

Our windows are oak dark (dark gray, almost black) on the inside and outside. Foiling on both sides is cheaper than on one side, but it was never really in question that we wanted almost black windows inside, and we would have done it that way even if it had been more expensive. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the surcharge for pure white, as white windows were not requested. However, you can play around a bit with the different options on the relevant window configuration websites. The windows on these sites are cheaper than those from the specialist dealer/manufacturer/carpenter, but the surcharges for various foils should be proportional. This way you can get an impression of what different attributes cost extra.

The 2400 was given to me by my planner after checking with the window manufacturer. Therefore, I don't actually know how much it costs. I will inquire again next time, but I think it will be as the construction expert said: when building turnkey, it's take it or leave it... Thank you in advance for the experiences!

Why only anthracite on one side? As mentioned above, foil wrapping on the inside and outside is usually not more expensive (actually cheaper) than a dyed exterior and white interior. At first, I wanted white on the inside, but fortunately my wife insisted. In my opinion, the windows now look significantly more valuable not only from the outside but also from the inside than identical white plastic windows. But it's all a matter of taste... that’s probably not something to argue about.

Then we must have gotten off really cheap. We had to pay an extra charge of €800. Outside, our windows are anthracite foiled and inside white.
