I have no understanding for people who think that the floor area ratio is only established by Schierschandudel. Sealing of surfaces is somehow always the problem of other people. In our neighborhood there was quite a fuss a few years ago when selling a property, because the owner and builder also thought that you can just gradually build everything up. From the permitted 0.4 - with outbuildings 0.6 - he finally came up with a floor area ratio of 0.9 - which of course was noticed during the sale.

Yes, for green roofing and the like, we wanted to put everything else that usually stands around in the small garden consisting of useful plants (raised bed, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.) onto the roof terrace, which also gets a lot of sun. The plot is not that big anyway, so every square meter is hard fought for :D

Yes, I keep noticing that too, recently drove through a 10-year-old new housing development, and every "front yard" was completely paved and used as a parking space for cars.
