I probably would have only pulled out 5 and 8 and connected all the others. But you have to be careful, Dahua uses the cables with POE differently than other POE manufacturers.
As an additional note.
Electric door openers also mean that, from an insurance perspective, it is considered unlocked. If you leave the house, you need to lock it with a key. Fingerprint, RFID, or PIN will then not work.
I just commissioned the retrofit of an automatic panic lock with A-opener and multi-point locking. This way, the door is always locked from an insurance perspective but can be opened via the Goliath.
I hope they manage to lay the cable in the door retroactively in a sensible way.
Depending on how far along you are with the house, you might still be able to react with the wiring.
Otherwise, alternatives like Nuki and others also work without wiring.
ekey also offers an electronic wireless locking cylinder with wireless module, which probably also works without extensive wiring.
And another note:
I didn’t dare to order the Dahua system but ordered the preconfigured Goliath with 10-inch indoor monitor. It is preconfigured but all nicely and cleanly individually packaged.
However, if you watch many videos online and are somewhat familiar with network technology, you could probably have configured it yourself.
Afterwards, I also bought an inexpensive Dahua 7" monitor for the upper floor on ebax classifieds.
So you can also combine them.
