just a thought for you: there are also solid prefabricated houses, e.g. made of Liapor or a brick wall system. A prefabricated house should actually be finished faster than a solid house (stone on stone), but reality usually looks different, it all depends on the capacities of the construction company and other factors. We are building a solid prefabricated house made of Liapor. We signed the contract on April 4th, earthworks began on June 18th, and today the base slab is being poured. According to the construction schedule, we are supposed to move in at the beginning of November (more precisely, on November 5th). If things continue to progress this quickly, then our construction time will be about 5 months. The construction contract states a construction time of 5-7 months.

Correct, we paid the last installment after almost 14 months. That means we had to pay about €1000 in commitment interest, since after 12 months most of it was paid. What was left at the end were the invoices for the exterior plaster and the defect retention.

Currently, you wait a year for a prefabricated house (the time of low interest rates). Most providers also want a deposit in advance, the financing must already be in place beforehand and runs before the order date of your house.
