Indoor staircase - two-stringer staircase or wooden stringer staircase

Today's houses no longer offer enough space to fully appreciate the staircase. In the past, in castle entrance halls and large manor houses, this was still important. Today, staircases look stylish in photos. In everyday life, they are mostly just staircases.
An airy stringer staircase is more difficult to nicely enclose underneath (in case you need the space later).

Yes, why? I don’t like open risers and we have a window behind it that should remain nicely open. We would have decided the same for a wooden stringer staircase.
