In your opinion, do city villas look like villas?

Currently, houses referred to as "Stadtvillen" are heavily advertised and apparently also frequently sold. Do you think that these houses called "Stadtvillen" are justifiably called villas? In my opinion, they are simply two-story houses as opposed to bungalows or 1.5-story houses. When I look at these houses, I do not think of villas at all. My husband and I will buy a two-story house, but I would be embarrassed to call the house a villa. How do you feel about it?

It is a marketing term, it has nothing to do with a villa.

It's a topic that's been discussed many times before. Stadtvilla is simply a term for a house with two full floors, usually with a hipped roof on top. It's nothing more and nothing less. It can be appealing, but it doesn't have to be – no matter what you call it. What is the intention of your question?

Just call it a house and not a villa.

If you believe Wikipedia, then you get to the term villa through city villa: The term villa originally referred to a noble house in the countryside.
