IKEA SMAKLIG cooktop combined with NYTTIG and drawer

Hello everyone,

I am now in the final stages of the kitchen assembly.
Planned are two low drawers with 10cm fronts each under the cooktop.
Now the problem is that due to the specified divider for the cooktop (NYTTIG), the top drawer no longer fits.

Is there an alternative solution so that the low drawer still fits? I would rather not omit the drawer and instead just install a panel.

Unfortunately, the Ikea kitchen planner did not show any error either. This is now the second error from the software.

How thick is your countertop? If it is quite thin, there is no longer enough space. You could install a thicker countertop, then it should work.

The position of NYTTIG does not change due to a thicker countertop...

Only a low drawer with a 20 cm front is planned.

The board will be 38mm thick. Original Ikea.

I would also have no problem replacing NYTTIG with something else.

In the instructions for Smaklig a distance of 2mm for ventilation is specified. If I now use an aluminum plate, the whole thing becomes more compact.

I just don't know if that is allowed.

The idea was that with a thicker countertop, the required insertion depth of the cooktop into the cabinet could be somewhat less, thus allowing a higher installation of the Nyttig cover (provided the ventilation requirements can be met).

The task of NYTTIG is also to prevent a collision of the drawers with the cable. If everything is fine with the ventilation, it may be that only a short drawer fits because of the cable.
