Ikea Pax wardrobe with sliding doors assembly error

Hello dear all,

I bought a wardrobe with sliding doors that I planned myself beforehand using the Pax planner, but unfortunately the doors do not open fully and therefore I cannot reach either of the drawers, I cannot open any of them.

However, I cannot see any assembly error. So if it is clear from the start that this won't work, why does Ikea not show any error message during the configuration?

that must work. Usually, when a problem like this has been described here, it was related to the KOMPLEMENT snap fitting.

Yes, I have that one too. Is there a solution for that?

Not that I recall. Unfortunately, it is not always reported when a problem has been successfully resolved. The cause also does not always have to be the same. First and foremost is the error analysis, so in this case finding out why the doors cannot be opened further. If nothing is apparent, I would remove the snap fitting and see if it then works. If it still does not work, check again where the door is hitting. If it works, look closely at how the door runs at the end and compare how it looks with the fitting installed. Since I do not have a PAX, I cannot add more to this. Perhaps a PAX owner will respond. Problems can also occur if one tries to install the front and rear door on the opposite sides than intended.

I have now found the error. It was due to the snap fittings. So I had to swap the doors so that the outer sliding door is on the left and the inner one on the right. One snap fitting is only open on one side and now nothing hits anymore.
