Ikea PAX particle board quality is poor

I don't know if this is a question of old or new, but rather of luck, which one you happen to get. I also had different drawer slides in three batches purchased (first variant 1, then variant 2, and then variant 1 again). Apparently, Ikea often offers the same (but not really equivalent) products in parallel, presumably from different manufacturers. I have had the experience with the hinges with dampers. Sometimes the dampers are clipped on, sometimes they are recessed into the hinge. But the slides are all indeed not really good but at best not really bad.

... What annoys me is the change of the drawer slides to inferior quality.
I received "Komplemet drawers" in two different packages, the "old" ones have slides (with a green damper) that run much more smoothly and already look higher quality visually. The new slides (black damper) always have resistance when pulling in and out and the drawer runs stiffly....

We went to the local Ikea three times until we had uniform cabinet hinges. I just don’t get why there are three different versions for the identical article numbers in the bin at Ikea.

PS: Despite all adversities! It’s now been about 4 months and our bedroom still (or precisely because of all the effort) gives us joy. Only the pull-out trouser rack I still have to take out and disassemble again, because it is so stiff that it is a real problem to use without applying force.

So dear ones,

I am a carpenter and had the honor this weekend to assemble a few meters of the current Pax for good friends. Without going into all the details now... My very personal opinion: that stuff is junk! And absolutely overpriced. It would never come into my house.
