Hello,
I don't understand why the minimum ceiling height for a 236 sliding door is 240 cm, but without your approval, I don't dare to attempt the installation at 238 cm...
The following consideration: the guide rail for the rollers has a height of 0.5 cm. - So I only need to lift the door by this 0.5 cm when hanging it, right?
The roller bracket or the handle on the sliding door has - measured from the underside of the rollers - a height of no more than 5 cm. So I need at least 5.5 cm of space measured from the bottom of the sliding or guide rail.
The bottom of the sliding or guide rail is located 4 cm below the cabinet top, so at a height of 232 cm. - So wouldn't 232 cm + 5.5 cm = 237.5 cm ceiling height be sufficient????
Am I making a mistake in my thinking here? - Urgent answers requested!!!!! The Ikea assembly team took the cabinet back at 238 cm because allegedly that is not enough. They even demanded 244 cm. There would also be space to slide the doors in from the side.
