Hello. We are considering buying a Neff cooktop (T53T86N2), but we have come across the following sentence in the manual: "Built-in furniture: It must be resistant to at least 90 °C."
For METOD, I only find the following note in the warranty: "We even test the edges to ensure they withstand temperatures up to 85°C as well as water (1 hour soaking) and steam from 50–60°C without coming loose." Otherwise, there is only the casual sentence "Everyday life at home places high demands on a kitchen. That's why we test it thoroughly to make sure it can definitely handle high stress, high temperatures and daily use." There are no statements about the carcasses or drawers (which would be under the cooktop).
Now my questions: Can I get more detailed information somewhere at Ikea? What happens if I use the cooktop and it gets 90°C hot? Will "only" the cabinets be damaged, does the warranty on the cabinets/the cooktop become void, or in the worst case, will my house burn down? Has anyone installed Neff cooktops here and can report about it?
