Ikea Metod alternative legs - shorten? Experiences

Hello,

I would like to replace my kitchen with a Metod kitchen in the next few years.

Unfortunately, I need to access my kitchen windows and they are 88 cm high, which is unfortunately 4 cm too low for Metod.

So I would need legs that are around 4 cm instead of the 8-9 cm ones.

Are there any alternative legs that can be purchased somewhere? And that fit?

Alternatively: has anyone ever made their own legs or a base?

is it 88 cm to the open window or the windowsill?

The lowest feet I know of are 55 mm )-5mm/ 20mm) high. If the floor is not higher at a relevant spot, you would come to about 880 mm with a 50 mm plinth, 800 mm cabinet, and 28 mm countertop. Building a plinth out of square timbers is basically not that difficult, but depending on the floor, precisely compensating for unevenness can become tedious.

If the overall planning allows, I would set the work surface 10 or 20 cm lower in front of the window. This can be practical, for example, when baking bread. 20 cm lower would be easy to realize with the 60 cm high cabinets; with 10 cm, the cabinet would have to be shortened.

so the panel in front of the window is 87 cm high (just measured) the window itself is 91.5 cm high.

so you could go up to 90.5 cm - you just need a little bit of leeway!
