Hello,
I am looking for help with assembling my Hemnes display cabinet and came across this forum... maybe someone here has had similar experiences.
We bought two display cabinets and the assembly of the first one went well, except for the usual Ikea problems like having wrong parts in the package that we first had to exchange. But the cabinet is now standing and looks good.
However, with the second one, the doors are really crooked. The right door hangs higher inward than outward and the left door hangs lower inward than outward. It looks awful, of course.
We have tried a lot with the hinges (adjusting the height of the doors, trying to use the screw for horizontal adjustment to set the top and bottom differently to change the door's tilt)... but all this only brought minimal improvement or simply made the slant worse elsewhere.
I am quite puzzled as to what could be causing this or how to correct it.
I am grateful for any help.
