IKEA GODMORGON washbasin cabinet assembly tips wanted

Hello dear Ikea friends,

I am currently in the process of redesigning my bathroom and have decided on the IKEA Godmorgon series. I am currently assembling the furniture and it’s actually going quite well. Only one step is making me somewhat desperate while assembling the GODMORGON washbasin cabinet with 2 drawers, namely this one:




Well, I am supposed to screw the rail on the side to the bottom of the drawer. The drawer side also has the corresponding hole for it but there is nowhere a hole on the entire drawer bottom, so I can’t screw the screw in. And since you’re not supposed to use a drill, I can’t drill a hole either. I don’t know what to do anymore...

Has anyone among you assembled the washbasin cabinet before and can help me?

Pre-drilling is never included in IKEA instructions. Wood screws are always screwed directly into the wood. However, it is always recommended to pre-drill with a thin drill bit. The little picture means less that you should not drill, but rather that you should not screw in the screw with a cordless screwdriver to avoid over-tightening it.
