Ikea Faktum Repurchase Service Disappointment

Hello,
about 4 years ago we bought a Faktum kitchen with Abstrakt fronts (high gloss white). Since we will be moving to a larger apartment in about 6 months, the kitchen is also supposed to be moved and correspondingly expanded.

At first, I didn’t worry much about it, since Ikea offers a 2-year follow-up purchase service. However, after trying several times to place the necessary reorder in the online shop, I’m a bit frustrated.

Even what I consider standard cabinet sizes for base units like 60x72 or 30x72 are not available. Drawers of any size are not available. Fronts are partially not available.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Or am I just unlucky that every time I look, all of this is sold out, and there is no option for preordering anyway? Or have these parts already been completely out of production for nearly half a year after Faktum ended? That would really make the follow-up purchase service a bad joke.

Hello,

IKEA says the demand for FAKTUM and METOD is much higher than expected. They had to look for additional manufacturers, and of course it takes some time until mass production can start. That is why the online reorder shop states that the situation will have normalized by spring.
At the moment, it is apparently a gamble to visit the website exactly when an item is briefly available again.
