Thanks for asking ;) Yes, I am quite aware that we cannot build a palace there.

Palast ist gut :) Are you also aware of how much living space you lose just because of walls? max. 5 m interior space + staircase, which also needs to be planned.

Our detached semi-detached house is 6.7 x 10.51. Just for comparison and I sometimes find it quite narrow. We are 2 people.

A house only 1.6 meters wide is currently being sold in London. So it can be even much smaller. ;) Otherwise, it is actually rather hopeless, regardless of the limited usability of the hut. So better look for a "real" plot.

It can also be small. It is even trendy. "tiny houses"

Does the building window allow it? Preliminary building inquiry to the building authority.

Is more than 5.7m possible? If another 2m are possible, it works, anything else will probably be too tight. Our single-family house has external dimensions of 9.6m x 7.6m. Internal dimensions of 9m x 7m. In the living area, there is a bay window that extends the 7m by another 1.5m in this area. The dining table is located there. Without this bay window, it would probably also be too tight. On the ground floor, we only have the entrance area, guest WC, open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and living area in an L-shape, and adjacent to the kitchen a utility room where the gas boiler is also housed. Upstairs are the bedroom, another large room (which could also be divided into 2 rooms), and the bathroom. And in the basement a small bathroom or WC with shower, a small and a larger cellar room, and a large room as living space (which could also be divided into 2 rooms). However, it is on a slope, so the living room downstairs leads directly outside to a terrace and the garden. Just so you might be able to imagine it a little bit. I can hardly imagine anything smaller in terms of dimensions.
